November 28, 2023

2023 has been one of the busiest years in video game history, but with just a couple of months left to go, there’s still time to squeeze in a few more big titles. One of those big titles will be Persona 5 Tactica. Persona was once a spinoff series itself, but not only has it become such a juggernaut of its own that it could be argued Persona is now bigger than the series from which it was spun, but even its own games are getting spinoffs. Next on the list is Persona 5 Tactica, launching on all major platforms on November 17, 2023.

Seven years on from when we were first introduced to the world of Persona 5, and three years after its last big spinoff, Tactica will take us back to focus on not only a group of new but familiar characters but also to turn the Persona genre on its head. Tactica will revolve around the Phantom Thieves, and rather than opting for a turn-based battle system like the series it was born from, Tactica will use a battle grid, making it far more tactical and inspiring the spinoff’s name.

Persona fans are going to be eating well through the end of 2023 and into 2024 after a bit of a dry period following the launch of Persona 5 Strikers. Tactica launches on November 17, and two and half months after that on February 2, Persona 3 Reload will be here. Not a spinoff like Tactica, but a remaster of Persona 3. Unfortunately, Reload won’t be a complete edition. It has already been confirmed that FES and Portable will not be a part of the remaster.
